Newspapers’ digital audience grew to 164 million unique visitors (aged 18+) in August 2014, the highest figure recorded by comScore and an 18% year-over-year increase. That translates to 8 in 10 online adults reading newspaper content online during the month, up from 65% in June 2013. Newspapers’ online reach was greatest among women aged 25-34 (92%), while women aged 18-24 represented the fastest-growing segment (38% year-over-year increase in unique visitors).
