Android took over as the top smart device platform on the Opera Mediaworks platform in Q1, with about 43% of traffic, versus 38% for iOS devices. But, iOS devices continue to generate an outsized share of revenues, at more than 52%. Android’s share of revenues is growing more quickly on a year-over-year basis, though its gains are at the expense of BlackBerry and Symbian rather than Apple. Meanwhile, in Q1, the Social category continued to lead in mobile ad traffic volume, while Arts & Entertainment garnered the most revenue and Business, Finance & Investing the most revenue per impression.
