Germans Who Have Bet On World Cup Matches By Gender [CHART]

After Electronic Arts’ recent predication that Germany would win the FIFA 2014 World Cup, based on simulations of the 32-team tournament, it’s likely that the country’s soccer fans are even more excited for the event. But does that mean that they’re willing to bet on it? Based on research, they’re not interested.

A study conducted earlier this month by forsa for BITKOM found that just 6% of internet users in the country, or 3.3 million people, had placed bets on World Cup 2014 matches. Men were more likely to have placed a bet: 10% of Germany’s male web users had bet on the tournament, while only 3% of females had. Read the rest at eMarketer.
