The National Football League still rules the roost of professional sports leagues in America, with 72% of sports fans in the United States saying professional football interests them, and 61% saying they would make a bet on the sport.

The National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball are in a virtual tie for runner up, with 66% and 65% of Americans respectively saying they have an interest in the league, though more people are likely to place a bet on an NBA game than on a baseball game.

Professional boxing comes in third with 47% of US sports fans having an interest in the sport, followed by the National Hockey League with 40%, Nascar auto racing with 38%, horse racing and Major League Soccer at 29%, eSports at 27%, and the Women’s National Basketball Association with 20% interest.
