This year, 169.5 million people in the US—or more than half of the population—will use Facebook, a 0.9% increase from 2017, according to eMarketer estimates.
By the end of the forecasting period (2022), we expect Facebook’s user base to grow to 176.3 million. That’s thanks, in large part, to older demographics.
While younger users are leaving Facebook at a faster pace, older age groups are accessing the social platform more—particularly the 55-to-64 and 65-plus age groups. Read the rest at eMarketer.
