Twitter Shares Decrease 11% After Share Count Removal [CHART]

Shareaholic, a social sharing service, looked into whether Twitter’s decision to remove share counts from the API that feeds those numbers to share buttons would lead to a decline in sharing activity and share of voice for Twitter. The company compiled and analyzed sharing activity data generated across more than 300,000 sites that are powered by Shareaholic’s Content Amplification Platform. These sites collectively reach over 450 million unique visitors each month.

Their results show a decrease of 11% in sharing of content on Twitter. Read the rest at Sharaholic.
