Internet users aren’t just streaming digital video through subscription video on-demand services, and TNS found in Q3 2014 that 34% of US households had streamed digital TV and video. eMarketer estimates that there will be 203.8 million US digital video viewers this year, meaning that 63.4% of the population and 78.6% of internet users will watch digital video content via any device at least one per month. Growth has slowed, though, and the digital video viewing audience in the country will rise 15.7 million between 2015 and 2018, the last year of our forecast, to 219.5 million—66.7% of the population and 80.1% of internet users.
