US smartphone users suffering insomnia, however, seem to be more likely than average to check their phones if something is keeping them up at night. Nearly four in 10 did so—a percentage beaten out only by Singapore.
But US consumers were no slouches when it came to total internet time, according to the survey. More than half of internet users in the country said they spent at least 3 hours daily on the web, compared with 48% of respondents in the UK.
