Almost half (46%) of TV user households watched video on a portable computer during the past year, with 43% watching video on a smartphone and 35% on a tablet, per the CEA. Each of those figures was up by at least 7% points from a year earlier. Meanwhile, some 45% of TV households viewed at least some TV programming via the internet, up from 28% the previous year. Separately, results from a Leichtman Research Group (LRG) study indicate that one-third of adults watch video on connected devices (including connected TV sets) daily, and 6 in 10 do so weekly.
