Chart - Comfort With Mobile Purchases By Price Range & Device

Recent research has examined the differences between smartphone and tablet shopping behaviors from a variety of different angles, such as how popular shopping activities vary by device and the types of items that are most commonly purchased by device. A new report from JiWire adds to the research, comparing the amount smartphone and tablet owners are willing to spend when making retail purchases from their devices.

The results indicate that 29% of tablet owners are willing to spend at least $500 on retail purchases from their device, almost double the percentage (16%) of smartphone owners willing to spend that much. Expanding the results out a little, an even half of tablet owners would spend at least $250, compared to 32% of smartphone owners.

Interestingly, fully 22% of smartphone owners would not spend $50 or more from their device. Read the rest at MarketingCharts.
