Vine’s growth is out of control.
The streak has been especially pronounced since Twitter acquired the six-second video sharing platform in January. From just 77,000 unique visitors in January, Vine’s website vine.co grew to 3.6 million unique desktop visitors in May, according to Compete.com; Quantcast estimates similar web traffic growth.
The app, meanwhile, more than doubled its share in the U.S. iPhone market through April, according to AppData, reaching nearly 8 percent of all users after more than 13 million downloads. Short video rivals Viddy and Socialcam, meanwhile, reach less than half a percent of all users each. Read the rest at Wired.
