Five years ago today the Highway 35W bridge in Minneapolis, Minnesota collapsed and the attention of the nation focused on this tragedy. Often, the images people saw were created by citizen journalists. While Minnesota already enjoyed a thriving blogosphere, the tragedy may well have marked the moment Minnesota citizen journalism came of age.
