SPYING ON SIGNIFICANT OTHERS

33% of Americans checked their boyfriend’s or girlfriends email or call history on the sly.
37% of married couples snoop on their spouses.
And 37% of parents spy on their kids.
60% of parents of teenagers snoop on their kids.
14% of them found something that concerned them.
THOUGHT: Okay, spying on your kids, I get. That’s a safety issue. Just don’t get caught.
But on your girlfriend or wife? If you’re doing it out of suspicion, that’s one thing; you’ve already got at least some problems in the relationship, if that’s the case.
But just out of curiosity? Seriously, don’t go there.
It would be interesting to see how online communications professionals fare when posed with such questions, going on and on as we do about the role of trust online.
